live from new york, it's arcade fire!
with the possible exception of wilco's sky blue sky, due in may, arcade fire's neon bible is my most anticipated release of the year. (bright eyes' cassadaga might have something to say about that as well.) neon bible leaked several weeks ago, but i've been holding off on listening to it until i can hear the whole thing through. but they were on saturday night live tonight, and well, i could not resist.

Good Lord, have never been amazed by Arcade Fire and was not overly enamoured the first time I heard snippets of the newer songs, but that is an undeniably brilliant performance, thanks for posting.
Thanks for posting this - a great capture of an outstanding performance. I've been trying to avoid any exposure to new AF tracks but this was too tempting and now March 5th can't come soon enough!
This band is going places... beleive it! Creative, talented and refreshingly different, they are headed up the charts, it will be a rapid climb...
*snore*
I can't decide if it was the sound mix or what, but the vocals just seemed weak to me. I like the sound and the pace, and I think the lead singer might potentially be really good, but it was so hard to tell.
Reminiscent of Warren Zevon or the Talking Heads, except the singing left a lot to be desired.
